Projects involving FEA

During my summer internship with FEA Training Consultants Inc. (2021), I did many projects using SolidWorks and finished with a few projects analyzing the models using finite element analysis (FEA).

Cylinder with internal pressure

Designed and modelled a hollow cylinder with internal pressure acting on it. Used FEA to test the displacement, stress, and strain.

Metal Work Table

Designed a plain carbon steel worktable able to support the following scenarios (with limited materials) :

1. Total distributed load of 10 000 N

2. Six 100 kg vices

I used FEA for design optimization and validation. Tests included factor of safety, displacement, stress, strain, and natural frequency.
